My parents went to Hawaii on their honeymoon.  My mom took a free lesson at the hotel and they told her she was a natural.  It took 4 1/2 years to find a teacher here in Michigan.  By that time I was 3 1/2 years old.  We heard On the radio that there were Hawaiian dancers at Lakeside Mall so we went there and I got up for audience and they told me I was good and should take classes. That was in 1980.  We took classes at Vicki Stevens School of Dance until she closed the studio.

I did pageants I did the peach Blossom and a national one and I placed first, second and fourth. Then we started taking classes at Dancer’s Workshop in 1986. They saw me dance at the state fair and wanted my mom to teach because they all wanted to “dance like me”.

We went to Hawaii for my parents 17 year wedding anniversary We went to Germaine’s luau on the wall who they pulled me up for audience I got my own solo and they asked me to stay and dance. Went back two more times in 1996 and 1999 and the same thing happened. I danced at waves restaurant in Saint Clair Shores from 1998 2008. Went to Tahiti in 2006 and got my own solo and they also told me that I was good.
